The Tribute credit card is the worst card to get, even if you have credit issues, that prevent you from securing other cards, and here's why. When you initiate the card,"Tribute" states that you have a line of credit worth $300.00 Simply put "a lie!"

What you do get is a credit line of $78.00, and the rest is deducted by Tribute, in the form of fees that are short of extortion!....This is clearly wrong! When I found out about this, I immediatly stoped the use of the card, and offerd to pay the charges that I was responsible for. Tribute said no, and as a result of that, the charges are now over $600.00 and is now a mark on my credit rating. Do yourself a favor

and avoid this card at all costs!

This company does not have the interest of helping anyone with credit issues, and only further damages ones credit, preventing them from ever attempting on resolving an issue, unless you pay their hyped up fees. Lesson learned.

Just want to say Please report Tribute to the BBB the company is very misleading they close your account for the real reason charge you a monthly fee for account that they close and the closer you get to paying off the balance and being on time with them they will charge you a late fee $35. for being late when you pay on time Tribute is a RIP OFF

I was pre-approved for a Tribute card, and at the time I was trying to repair my credit and felt it was a good idea........boy was I ever wrong. Like some of the other comments posted I had a 300.00 credit limit so I thought. after all the annual fees I had a limit of about 78.00 plus I had to pay 20.00 bucks to get it activated. Needless to say I never activated the card, recived an cancellation letter and thought that was the end of that.......not so, I have a mark on my credit report due to them and they have it listed on my report as a delequint account under Midland Services. how do I owe for a service I did not use and why am I being penalized for it?!?! as stated above....Tribute is the worst company to ever do business with!

We really need a class action lawsuit against Tribute. They are the worlds-worse! My IMAGINE CREDIT CARD account was closed, "due to a management decision", whatever that mean. Then they transferred my account to a TRIBUTE CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT which I never-ever saw. I have a new account number, which is so misleading because I only see the last four digits of the new account number when I log on to my account. When you call those idiots you get bounced from country to country, speaking to people that are 100% ignorant about your account. Whomever you speak to @ Tribute about your account don't have a clue. I have spoken to an American only once since my card was abruptly canceled in Oct, 2009, and that person was somewhat helpful. I don't understand how they can charge a $9.95 Monthly Maintenance Fee for an account that's not maintained. What's even more egregious, is when Tribute purchased IMAGINE accounts, those idiots bill me for the purchase. In other words my credit card balanced INCREASED. What a bunch of Crooks.

they rip my mom off and now she is having a hard time paying them....Not a good card to get... I tried to get in and they said i have a credit limit of $300 then they said they had to deduct "fees" which brought it down to $70. The minimum payment was $70 a month. Then they said I had to pay the entire $300 to get the $300. I decided not to activate the card. they sent me a couple of letters telling me to make a payment now or they would take action!! When they realized that I would not correspond with them they sent me a cancellation letter.lol

I agree with all the comments. Tribute is the worse credit card I ever had. Just as many of you out there, they closed my account as well without a real reason. The killing part is they charged the one hundred dollar annual fee and will not prorate the charge. I've called them several times after viewing my monthly bill(s) and noticing it was never prorated. So no, they don't care about the customers. Is there anything we can do as customers? can do

I agree! We need a class action lawsuit against Tribute! My IMAGINE CREDIT CARD was transferred to a TRIBUTE CREDIT CARD and then they closed my account, therefore, I never used the TRIBUTE card. I have never paid the IMAGINE account late, and usually paid over the minimum due. I called TRIBUTE about the $9.95 Monthly Maintenance Fee and was told the Fee was initiated as soon as the first transaction was made on the card. Since I never made a transaction using the TRIBUTE card, I told the Supervisor (Joseph) that it was unlawful to charge me the Monthly Maintenance Fee! He said it didn't matter that my contractual agreement was with IMAGINE and not TRIBUTE because the same rules applied, even though it was a different card, different billing address and different account number! They didn't care that I never signed an agreement with TRIBUTE and he just kept repeating his 'script' in a language I had a difficult time understanding.

When will there be an agency where we can complain about the unlawful dealings of credit card companies? They don't have to answer to anyone and can do whatever they want to steal from us!

I am writing my State Attorney General anyway. I need some satisfaction!
